This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) is in the context of and to govern the access and usage of the GCCS 2017 website and GCCS 2017 mobile application by MeitY (Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology), Government of India.

This Privacy Policy describes and determines how GCCS 2017 website/application (referred to as MeitY or We/Us or GCCS 2017), handle and/or deal with your (referred to as You or User or GCCS 2017 Account holder) personal and usage information, in accordance with the applicable laws of India.

This Privacy Policy is liable to change without notice at the discretion of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India. Any change in the Privacy policy will be notified to all the GCCS 2017 Account holders.

The Privacy Policy for the GCCS 2017 as described below has been kept as simple as possible and provides the details of personal and usage information as collected from the user. In case the user is not familiar with certain technical terms he/she is advised to read the key terms first and in case doubt still persist he/she may write to us at gccs[dot]con[at]digitalindia[dot]gov[dot]in.

The GCCS 2017 application and website allows the user to browse the site without signing up. In this case it will not capture any specific personal information about the user (for example name, phone number, email ID) that may allow us to identify anyone individually.

In case the user wishes to pre-register for GCCS 2017 event, the user must provide his/her personal details including contact information.

If the user is invited for the event, then the user needs to create a personal account on GCCS 2017 website/mobile application.

GCCS 2017 website/application collects information such as Internet Protocol (IP) Addresses, Domain name, Browser type, Operating System, Date and Time of the visit, Pages visited, Referring URLs etc. However no attempt is being made to link these with the identity of individuals visiting the GCCS 2017 website/application unless an unlawful attempt to violate/infringe the GCCS 2017 service and privacy policy or provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000 of Government of India or under any law for the time being in force has been detected.

The GCCS 2017 application uses cookies and these cookies are used to record current session information to improve the user experience of GCCS 2017 and to tailor it to his/her preference. However no permanent cookies are used. Further the user can control the cookies through his/her browser settings and use of other tools. The blocking of cookies may however result in non continuance of the GCCS 2017 session. The users are well advised to close their sessions after use so as to avoid possible misuse of cookies information.

The personal information collected at the time of pre-registration and usage information may be shared with other Organizations, if the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology have a good faith/belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to: Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable Government request; Plan and organize the event and related activities; Detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues as well as investigation of potential violations; Protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of GCCS 2017 event, other users or the public as required or permitted by law.

We do not sell or share any personally identifiable information submitted on the GCCS 2017 website/application to any third party (public/private), except under the conditions as mentioned above. Any such information provided to this website will be reasonably protected from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

The GCCS 2017 website/application uses geographic location information and technical information such as device OS, browser, etc. from Google analytics. No personal information is collected in this process. All such information collected by Google analytics application system may be collated only for the purpose of analysis only.
