The objectives of GCCS 2017 are to promote the importance of inclusiveness and human rights in global cyber policy, to defend the status quo of an open, interoperable and unregimented cyberspace, to create political commitment for capacity building initiatives to address the digital divide and assist countries, and to develop security solutions in a balanced fashion that duly acknowledge the importance of the private sector and technical community.
GCCS 2017 in India is expected to attract over 2000 delegates from more than 100 countries. A large number of the delegations (40-50 approx.) are expected to be headed at Ministerial levels. Besides that, industry, civil society and academia from various countries will also participate and the conference is expected to be one of the biggest International conferences on Cyberspace.
To organize the event in a smooth manner a High Level Organizing Committee (HLOC) under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Minister of Electronics & IT, Law and Justice and an Executive Committee (EC) under the chairmanship of Secretary, MeitY have been formulated. National e-Governance Division (NeGD), under the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) is the main agency to organize the event on behalf of Government of India.
The conference will be held on 23- 24 November, 2017 at Aero City, New Delhi, India.
